ReLIEF Voucher Program

This program is geared toward aiding our community in its efforts to relieve poverty.   We do this by helping to provide low-income families with some of the essential items that are needed in a home.

What are essential goods?

Almost all of the furniture we have in the store is considered “essential” and eligible for purchase with a voucher.  We encourage you to shop wisely – we like to see families make the most out of their voucher.  Examples of items not considered essential are: toys, candles, knick-knacks, jewelry, DVDs, CDs, art-cycle items, and records.  Computers and televisions are not considered essential goods.

How to get most out of your voucher:

You do not have to use your voucher all at once.  After a purchase, the remaining balance will be kept at the register and available for use the next time you come to the store.  All you have to do is go to the register, show your picture ID, and the cashier will give you the remaining balance on your voucher.

Your voucher is valid for one month from the date of issue.  Items come into the store all day long, so please check back to see if we have the items you are looking for.  You can stop by or call the store (658-4143 x10) to find out what our inventory is. Be a smart shopper and take your time, and you can really get some great things!

In order for us to help as many people in the community as possible, we ask that you do not request a voucher more than twice per year.
