ReSOURCE Essential Goods Program

ReSOURCE's Essential Goods Program is geared toward aiding our community in its efforts to relieve poverty. We do this by helping to provide essential household items to low-income families and families in crisis.

In the past two years, ReSOURCE’s Essential Goods Program awarded over $265,000.00 worth of goods to more than 2,000 individuals/families in Chittenden County and the greater Vermont area. ReSOURCE works with +30 different nonprofit agencies to distribute vouchers through the Essential Goods Program.

How to Apply for a Voucher

Vouchers for Essential Goods can be obtained from over 30 partner agencies across the state. Those agencies will identify the needs of the applicants and issue vouchers in the appropriate amounts. Vouchers can then be redeemed at any of ReSOURCE’s retail stores in Burlington, Barre, and Hyde Park. Nonprofit organizations needing materials for their own operations are eligible for a 25% discount on all purchases off ReSOURCE’s already low prices and may request additional support by talking with store managers at each ReSOURCE location.

Applicants can call 211 for a list of partner agencies that distribute ReSOURCE Essential Goods Vouchers or visit Our Partner Agencies Page.
